is there a difference in the silver making between the standard t34 and the black version? I'm not seeing it on the tankopedia. Would like to know before i trade in the standard one for the black one.

Made it through Harvey. Minimal roof leaking. No flooding in my house. We were lucky compared to LOTS here in the greater Houston area.

Seems to me to be a lower tier British version of the Captured KV -1 (which I love). I'm considering it and would appreciate get ting some feedback from owners. Thanks.

I heartily enjoy both lines. Logic, and reason (if you actually want the reward tank at the end) is going to drive me to go German for this go-around. I'd bet you a premium round in your backside that Germany will be the ultimate winner of this month long competition. The words "panzer" and "tiger" pretty much define what 'THE tank' is to a newbie. Thus anyone new(er) to the game will progress up the German lines first (just like I did), thereby increasing the probability of a German win with sheer numbers, and that's before you take into consideration all the little eccentricities (and strengths/detractions) that others have pointed out concerning the two countries' tank lines.
Need further proof? Look at the largely unused 'Champion' tank in my garage. Same reasoning was used there, and in that situation I even considered the predominance of U.S. players in the calculation with US nationalistic loyalties.
Write it down now. Germany will win again. If I'm wrong down the road, feel free to roundly chastise me.
This will be the last Nation vs. Nation free for all event. Two wins in a row for Germany means everyone will pick Germany in future matches further unevening the playing board.
Just my 2 cents worth...
To you Russian tankers, I'm there with you in spirit, but my money's on the Krauts to win it all.

I still have a working 360 right beside my 1. So i could be on the winnahs side... Seriously, the biggest problem i see w one vs. 360 is communications. The 1 supports party chat ( a major advantage) while the best the 360 can do is single platoon chat. If we're going to do this, the xbox 1 team will have to run at platoon levels w no interparty communications. Party chst would ne a no-no. My 2 cents worth...

OFFers,
I wanted to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all those that extended a warm welcome to Southbucks (my father in law) the last week, as well as making allowances for my necessary split setup (Southbucks on my xbox one so he could listen to the party chat, and me on my 360 only vicariously listening in on the constant banter). I think he was really understanding why i enjoy the platooning within clan so much. In particular, I wanted to bring special attention to Sciberius who platooned with us for long sessions into the early hours of a few days. His knowledge, recommendations and patience were frankly outstanding.
While i was encouraging Southbucks to speak up more frequently in chat, i think it will become more natural for him with increased use/comfort. He is new to WoT, was fiquring out controls, hating being 2 tiers down, map nuances, working hard on tier Vs, and learning the joys of being an potential OFFer all at once. I think he did pretty well for a 70/71 year old codger (did i say that out loud?) only 10 days into the game.
He has a xbox one at his home in northwest GA, and will be going to xbox live gold very soon. If any of you feel so inclined, please add him to your friends lists. I'd greatly appreciate it, and he will too. He'll likely end up playing as.much or more than me, and he's a retired night owl to boot.
To recruitment officers that might read this post, he'd like to join our ranks, and asked Oxy as such over the chat. Alas, I'm fairly certain that he's not going to use our website/forums just to retain membership (many of the even older generation can't/won't be bother with these sort of things, or would be rather lost) Would it be possible to allow him clan entry w/o requiring him to use our website?

Well, back in the early 90ies I was in grad school studying marine biology. Wanted to study sharks since i was a little kid. Problem was no one at at the College of Charleston worked on sharks. So much for that. I met up with a reknown taxonomist (Robert Johnson) who worked on the Giganturidae, Evermanillidae (sp?), and Scopelarchidae. We became fast friends, and i became his most successful grad student. I ended up becoming the chief ichthyologist on a pakistani oceanographic research cruise in the northern Arabian Sea during the height of the 1993 southest monsoon. Beaufort 7-8 seas. My advice? Just DON'T do it... My major advisor was on a different oceanographic vessel off of Somalia at the same time (this was before the country fell and pirates took over the surrounding waters). The fish collections from his and my trips ended up becoming the basis for my 549 page masters thesis "The Myctophdae of the Somali Current Region". To handle writing that tome, i had to become a world class taxonomist on lanternfishes. You know, those little black beauties with biolumenscent light organs on them. Well, i became known as Mr Fishie to my cadre of undergraduate assistants and I've used the moniker off and on ever since then. The '01' was so that the GT would be acceptable to xbox live.
Now i work at NASA here in Houston with astronauts. Kinda funny how God works in your life, ain't it?
My story seem a little far fetched? Do a Google Scholar search for " A new species of Polyipnus (teleostei: Stomiiformes) from the western Indian Ocean, with comments on sternoptychid ecology ". I'm the 2nd author. And yes, I've described a fish species. Fish are COOL.
What prize did I win? Really hoping for an Xbox points card so i can get a TOG II like the rest of OFF...
